Look who's 2!

Sam and Charlie enjoyed going to a neighborhood dress up birthday party. We had a beautiful day here yesterday before the cold and sleet moved in today. It was a blustery "stay home" day as Charlie told us at lunch time.
Sam turned 2 on Friday. He enjoyed helping carve pumpkins and loved eating cupcakes! Charlie was extra nice and kept reminding Sam "Your two today Sam!" "I gave Sam two kisses since he's two." Charlie has embraced two much more than Sam.

4 More Weeks....or less I hope...

Only 4 more weeks until I'm due. I'm hoping the baby follows Sam and comes early. Charlie helped me put together a dresser for the baby. He came up with improved instructions when I was attaching the drawers! "Mom, you should try it like this." and it worked much better. He is such a little engineer. Charlie enjoys talking about names we could call the baby. He has now moved past Ozzy to "Garbage Truck House-ah". "Let's talk about baby names again Mom". We always come back to the new gem he has settled on. If only Chris and I could decide on baby names so quickly.

Here are some pictures from today....enjoy. I made cupcakes today for Sam's birthday which is Friday....we had to try them out of course. I think Sam liked the chocolate.

After bath cocoons.

A trip to the river

We met our friends Bryan and Susan down by the Mississippi last weekend. It was a beautiful fall day....just like this weekend! The boys loved throwing rocks and watching the boats launching into the river.

Grandpa D and Sam

We spent a long weekend in Omaha. Sam liked sitting out on the front step with Grandpa D. It was great to see everyone. Charlie really enjoyed seeing his cousins.

Charlie's First Baseball Game

Charlie went to his first baseball game a few weeks ago. He had a great time taking the train downtown. He lasted until "Take me out to the ball game"!
