"Me too" is all smiles.

Sam enjoys painting himself and the boxes at the Children's Museum. I did NOT add the dot on his face! Too cute.

Sam is a little "Me Too" in our house. One of his new lines for this week was "I need that." Emphasis on NEED. Today we were out for a walk with Charlie's friend Gus and the older boys started running. Sam started his fast walk "run" and smiled at me "wunning". If you ask him who his friend is he immedietly says, "Gus". Even though his best buddy is Gus' younger brother Johan. Johan claims that "Chawlie" is his best bud as well. It's been fun to watch Sam and Charlie grow as brothers. Luckily Sam will get the chance to be a big bro this Nov.

Look Who's 4!

Charlie turned 4 on May 21st. We went to the park in the morning. Charlie and Sam had fun playing in the backyard all afternoon until Pa came home. Then we went to the Peace and Rose Gardens for a pizza picnic with Charlie's best buddy Gus. They had fun climbing the trees and splashing in the fountains. Charlie said he had a wonderful birthday!

Spring Is Here!

We have had lots of fun playing in our newly fenced backyard this spring. Sam wakes up and says "Out-tide" over and over in the mornings until we make it outside. He also finds his shoes and demands "shoes on" and tries to put them on over his jammies. Charlie has enjoyed playing with his buddies (including Sam most days), digging in the dirt around the yard, and playing with chalk. We are all glad the warm weather is finally here!

On the first warm Saturday in April, Charlie spent the day helping Pa in the yard. He brought ALL of the weeds and leaves to the compost in his wagon. He worked all day outside. Sam helped a little as well.

We love the Children's Museum

We have made weekly trips to the Children's Museum in St. Paul all winter. Sam and Charlie both enjoy sliding down the slide in the beaver dam.

Sam's favorite spots are the water area and the painting room.
Charlie's favorite areas are the ant hill and the factory with foam blocks. It's fun to see Charlie be a big, protective brother when we are out. He likes it when Sam follows him and watches after him.
Charlie just discovered this climbing wall on our last trip. He thought he was so high off the ground!

Books, Books, Books!

Sam and Charlie can't get enough of books these days. Sam reads himself to sleep most nights. His favorite books are "kick, cack, kick, cack" (Clickety, Clackety) and a color book. He is always open to the purple page and pointing to the grapes. Charlie will sit with Sam and name pictures and wants him to recite the alphabet. "Sam say a" If Sam is quiet it's because he is looking at books somewhere.
