Ben's First Trip to meet the Tripps

We had an excellent time on our trip to Omaha last weekend. It was nice to let everyone meet Ben at last and watch all of the kids playing. 70 was a nice bonus as well! Ben got to meet his Auntie Connie...he was full of a little new baby smell for her, and lots of new baby chubbiness.

Ben got lots of love from all of the cousins. Everyone held him and got him to smile and talk. He was such a good boy the entire trip.

It was great that Auntie Jenn was able to fly in to see everyone and meet Ben. The big bummer of the weekend was 3 of the cousins were sick so Ben didn't get to meet everyone yet.

Sam's Fun in Omaha

Sam had lots of fun playing with his cousins. He was off playing anytime cousins were around.

Marcus was so sweet to Sam. Our boys are lucky to have such nice cousins!

Omaha fun for Charlie

Charlie loved his trip to Omaha. He had so much fun playing at his cousins' house. He woke up Saturday morning and wanted to go back to his cousins' to play more. They were all so nice to him - the younger ones sharing toys and the older answering his 100 questions and letting him hang around with them. It was great for Chris and I to watch everyone laugh and play together.

Omaha - The Zoo

We always love going to the zoo when we visit Ermie and Grandpa D. Our favorite exhibits are the penguins and the crocodiles. It's a great zoo! Chris' brother and his two youngest joined us at the zoo. It was fun to watch how quickly the cousins were running around having fun together after not seeing each other for 6+ months.

We've had fun visiting the zoo. We met our friend Jane and her son Eli at the zoo. It was great to see them both and meet Eli for the first time.

Sam talks about the zoo and wants to go all of the time. He wants to see the dolphins and the sloth the next time we go.

We also spent a day with our neighborhood friends at the zoo. It will be fun to take trips to the zoo this summer with all of our friends.

I am looking forward to bringing the boys to the farm to see the baby animals. The farm will be open the next few weekends at the zoo.

Ben is 4 months old!

Here are some new pictures from the last month. Ben is now 4 months old and has started eating solids. He loves to play with his hands and watch his brothers. He has started giggling and loves to talk. I'll post some videos soon. We went to his 4 month visit today and he is now 20 lbs 5 oz and 27 1/2 inches.

Bubba Eats

Ben tried food for the first time a couple of weeks ago...and loved it. He doesn't always eat that much but eagerly opens his mouth when the spoon aproaches. He tries to help with the spoon. He loves the little sip of water out of a glass I give him when he's finished.
